The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe

/ Description

Created by Danish animators Christian Bøving-Andersen and Eva Lee Wallberg (previously on the team for CN EMEA’s The Amazing World of Gumball), The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe(10 x 3 min.) follows young prince of the forest, Ivandoe who is tasked by his father, The Mighty Stag, to go on a quest and return with the magical Golden Feather of the fearsome Eagle King. Accompanied by his dedicated squire, a small bird called Bert, Ivandoe embarks on an epically silly adventure, discovering new and mysterious areas of the forest and an array of peculiar creatures along the way.

/ SYNOPSIS

The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe tells the tale of a young buck on the greatest adventure of his life.

Ivandoe is the young prince of the forest. One day he will succeed his father, The Mighty Stag, and rule as king. But that day is a long way off...

Ivandoe is blessed with a great deal of self-confidence, and knows for a fact that he is the bravest, noblest and handsomest warrior-prince that ever drew breath! In reality he is a cute, round, clumsy young buck with limited physical ability.

To toughen him up and prepare him for this destiny, Ivandoe's parents send him on an epic quest. He must travel the breadth of the kingdom to Eagle Mountain and return with the magical Golden Feather from the fearsome Eagle King. Only then will he have proven himself fit to rule the kingdom.

Accompanying Ivandoe is Bert, a small but clever bird. Bert is Prince Ivandoe’s dedicated Squire, as well as his best (and only) friend. Together they set off on the adventure of a lifetime, journeying through the mystical Gnome Forest, the dark Troll Woods and the Lake of Mystery; encountering sassy gnomes, an underwater Princess, and a talking mountain along the way.

Prince Ivandoe’s self-regard and overconfidence in his own abilities regularly gets him into trouble. More often than not, it is left to Bert to get them out of it. Ivandoe’s self-absorption means that he is incapable of learning from his mistakes.

Each episode focuses on a bizarre situation, or treacherous obstacle, that Ivandoe and Bert must overcome in order to continue their quest to Eagle Mountain.

The series follows Ivandoe’s journey from his home kingdom to Eagle Mountain, and charts his inner journey from a young deluded deer prince to…well, a slightly older deluded deer prince.
